When Raymon Morgan was admitted to the hospital earlier this month it wrecked havoc for his family who was planning a 55th wedding anniversary celebration for him and his wife, Evelyn.
Not only was a special celebration being planned, Raymon and Evelyn were renewing their wedding vows. His untimely hospitalization and illness threatened to derail the plans.
But, thanks to creative thinking by his family as well as the staff of Davis Regional Medical Center, the celebration and ceremony went off without a hitch. Quickly and efficiently, the hospital staff converted a classroom to an intimate wedding chapel, complete with floral arrangements, special lighting, decorations, music, and even a wedding cake.
The ceremony was especially meaningful for Raymon who was elated to see his bride of 55 years in a wedding dress – a wish he had harbored for 55 years. This wedding story has a bittersweet ending as Mr. Morgan, unfortunately, did not recover from his illness. He died on April 22nd, leaving behind a grieving family with wonderful memories of a very special wedding anniversary.
