Health.edu to Release Domestic Violence Courses in August
All Florida licensed or certified nurses and social workers are required to complete a minimum of 2 CE hours on domestic violence as part of every third biennial relicensure or recertification. If you were already licensed in 2006, the DV requirement is due within 6 years (2012) and then every 6 years thereafter. If you were licensed in 2007 or after, the DV requirement is due within 6 years of the licensure date and every 6 years thereafter. Full Story

New Imaging Tool Identifies Patients at High Risk for Stroke
Transcranial Doppler, an advanced imaging tool that measures blood flow in the major arteries of the brain, is now available at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center. This diagnostic test is commonly used to identify patients with carotid artery disease who are at highest risk for stroke. Full Story

Congratulations and thank you to all who participated in the hospital’s pumpkin decorating contest. Eleven awesome pumpkins were entered in the contest. First place went to “No Fishing” from MOB Suite 2H. “Cinderella’s Carriage” designed by 2-South and “Cinderella’s Carriage” created by Inpatient Rehab tied for second place.
