We are proud to announce that beginning Thursday, July 1st, Crossgates River Oaks Hospital will begin posting the ER wait time at our hospital online at www.CrossgatesRiverOaks.com. We will test the online functionality for the first few days to ensure its accuracy before promoting this new tool in the local community. Posting online wait times is just one of many developments being implemented as a part of our ER Extra campaign. The goal of the online tool is to make visiting our ER “Extra Easy.” Quality and speed of care are important to our patients and online wait times will allow patients who believe that their individual situation does not require emergent care, to access wait times and choose the most advantageous time to come to our ER.
The ER wait time is calculated to represent the approximate time it takes at any given moment to see a qualified medical professional and is updated at least hourly. This online tool is just one more way we can make our patients’ experience in the ER as comfortable, streamlined and efficient as possible.
As the promotion of this tool is rolled out into the local community, we ask you to share any good stories or feedback you receive from patients who used the online tool prior to visiting our ER.
