Shawana earned a Masters in Nursing (Women's Health NP) from the University of Cincinnati. She holds certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP Instructor and Childbirth Educator, and she is also a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN). Previously she was with The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. Shawana is responsible for all aspects of women's services, including the Special Delivery department.
A graduate of South Dakota State University, Steven is certified by the American Society of Clinical pathologist (MT/ASCP), Specialist Hematology (SH/ASCP), and the National Certification Agency for Medical Lab Personnel. Before assuming the role of DRMC Lab Director, he served as Lab Manager at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem and also the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he managed the Hematology, Coagulation and Flow Cytometry Departments of the 760-bed acute care teaching hospital. Steven directly supervises all laboratory services and personnel.
Valerie is a graduate of Ohio University and holds a Master of Health Service Administration degree. Prior to joining Davis Regional, she was Director of the Neurosciences, Sleep Disorders Center, EEG, Integrated Therapies and Wound Ostomy at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. Valerie directs all wound healing services and staff.
