LKMC and First State Bank Bastille Day Bash a huge success!

LKMC and First State Bank Bastille Day Bash a huge success!Bastille Day was another great fundraiser for ACS Relay for Life. We shared the event with First State Bank of the Florida Keys and made about $1,500 for the night (split with First State). Although Dr. Covington (our Louis the 16th) could not be there because of not feeling well, there were two Marie Antoinettes to make up for it. They were Simon Torres and Neica Craft from ambulatory. Their costumes were splendid.

Bastille Day was another great fundraiser for ACS Relay for Life. We shared the event with First State Bank of the Florida Keys and raised about $1,500 for the night (split with First State).  Although Dr. Covington (our Louis the 16th) could not be there because of not feeling well, there were two Marie Antoinettes to make up for it. They were Simon Torres and Neica Craft from ambulatory.  Their costumes were splendid.

Margaret Doerr and Barbara Bender raised around $400 for Best Bustier. Patrice Waite and Melissa Harris raised around $300 for Best French Accent.  Patrice came up with the idea for Bastille Day! 50/50; Peggy Hamilton (First State Bank)

The First State Bank folks cleaned our collective clocks at the Poker Tourney taking the first three places.  Wow!

1st Place Poker - Miguel Menendez
2nd Place Poker - Chuch Gordon
3rd Place Poker - Tony Short

Doctors Campanile, Herrera, Grizzle, Reinoso, Shultz, Beysolow and Heather Paris,PA were there for the duration.

All the nurse managers, including Jill Noriega and her family, Randy Detrick, Jose Hernandez, Nick Hogen, and Kevin Bray were in attendance.

Frank Houtman tended the champagne bar. I hear he gave some nice discounts. Mike Connors' generous contributions of champagne and the delicious buffet were a big hit. What a show the Hurricane Hole puts on for parties!

Bill Hoebee made an appearance despite having a root canal that morning!  Always the life of any party he spoke well about Lower Keys and First State and jazzed the crowd. We had several people do under the guillotine and yet at the end of the night no one had to re-learn 'how to play the piano'!

We have the Bottlecap Lounge booked in September (it had to be a year in advance!). The Pet Picture Contest is up next. We have already raised about $2,800.00.  Your generosity knows no bounds.  We are having fun for a great cause!  Everyone should take great pride.

Thank you for all the great work and contributions.
